My best friend and I were bored one night. At two in the morning, we started doing crazy makeup, by three we were shooting, and by four we were finished. Working with a magazine recently, I felt as though I’ve become stripped of my creativity. Then I do what I want, magic like this results, and it reminds me of why I do all of this in the first place.
I have the blackest lashes, the reddest lips, and the longest nails. No man is brave enough to look past it all to realize that I have the biggest heart. I can easily wash the makeup off my face and walk down the street in a pair of jeans to get people to see me as a human being, but that would make me a coward. I owe it to myself and my fans to stay true to what I stand for, even if that means being shunned by love for the rest of my life. I love what I do too much to change myself for anybody. ✖
